The headline value of a promotion is not the same as withdrawable cash. Conditions determine whether an offer has any practical value.
Common conditions
Promotions may specify a minimum deposit, qualifying odds, wagering multiple, eligible sports, maximum stake, expiry period and maximum amount that can be converted or withdrawn. Different parts of the same bet can be treated differently.
Wagering requirements
If a R100 bonus must be wagered five times, the required qualifying turnover is R500 before other restrictions. Completing turnover does not guarantee a profit because every qualifying wager can lose and the bookmaker margin remains.
Free bets and stake return
Some free-bet returns exclude the free-bet stake. At decimal odds of 3.00, a nominal R100 free bet may therefore return R200 rather than R300 when it wins. The operator’s current terms control settlement.
Practical questions
- What must happen before the offer is credited?
- Which odds, markets and bet types qualify?
- When does the offer or resulting balance expire?
- Is the promotional stake returned?
- What limits apply to conversion or withdrawal?
Do not increase a planned deposit or continue betting merely to complete an offer.
